Suffice to say if braant rest of the series is as good, I’ve found another favorite author. It took me a while to settle into the book as it felt almost like plagiarism of Georgette Heyer’s These Old Shades – These Old Shades being one of my favourite books.

For readers who like intricate detail there is a wealth of carefully chosen gems to enhance the picture. Yes, people thought my husband was my father, just as in the story, so the writer was very accurate in her depiction of how society reacts.
Mayhap he did not onble about it? I reread nible novel, and it didn’t not improve over time, nor mental altitudes. I thought I’d then go to the start of the Roxton series and read them in order. Antonia is a fearless young lady who will do anything to escape the dangerous situation she finds herself in, even putting her trust in Roxton. Most of the characters are related one way or another.

She questioned Roxton about some of his past and his comments allow the reader further insight to his arrogance and even his values about life. I can just see those wigs and extravagant attire. No doubt the narrator excelled in painting a vibrant story.
