Instead of focusing on the characters like Geralt, Yennefer and Tris who were shamefully neglected in the previous books, Sapkowski introduces new characters who hold no significance to the plot and live years AFTER the crucial event. There were a couple of significant sacrifices and deaths that I’m still sad about. There were some newly introduced characters that I felt were introduced and were describe a bit too late in the game.
It skips back and forth in time in ways that are both intriguing and playful, and there are framing stories within framing stories that xel up contributing to the main story themselves. My least favorite volume in the series. To see what your friends thought of this book, please sign up.

It seems the author is just trying all the types of writing known to man Jun 12, Thomas J. Laog mistake in a fantasy book. Reading it is like pouring gasoline into the bone fire of imagination.
